               Many scary situations could happen to a friend or even yourself. Young teens and older people should be taught what an abortion really is. Many teens do not know what an abortion is or how it is done and what it leads to. Many women and couples have a decision to make and they should make the smart one and not the wrong choice. They should be able to know what it is and be informed on what they are going to do there are more choices than just to get an abortion. Abortion is a big topic in the U.S. and it also is involved in the government as well. Abortion is wrong and it is not the right thing to do. Abortions make things worse, this makes it harder and it's not a good choice.  Teens need to be more responsible but not just throw away what they did to themselves. Some couples would love to have a child and they cant. Couples that have an accident should not be able to get an abortion they should give the child up for adoption.

               Abortions are involved in a lot of places. This situation is involved in the government as well. The Roe vs. Wade case in 1973 made abortion legal. This was a huge turning point for the health policy. In recent years the Supreme Court has restricted many laws on abortion. The restrictions are that they have to wait a certain amount of time and have a spouse with them to get an abortion (Henshaw).

               Teens need to know what to do if they were to get pregnant. They will need to make the right decision and it can be hard for them. Teens should know what there choices are and if they are making the right choice. Many as 1 million teens get pregnant each year (Strasburg)? When a couple knows that they are going to be parents they have to think if they have responsibility to take care of the child. Couples need to know that it's not as easy as it looks to take care and raise a child. They should know that they could get through and raise a child and not just have it and be involved. Many teens get pregnant because a lot of them don't know about birth control and where to get it. In school teens get to take sex education, but they do not get educated enough and their parents are not open with them about it. (F) People might say that displaying in it in our media is bad and might give the idea of going out and having sex, but I think that it is a good idea to go out and display it because they will know more about and make better decisions. Displaying this will decrease the percentage of pregnancy and abortions. Showing all this will make teens and others make better decisions.

               Teens have school and want to have a good education. Many teens are still living at home and depend on their parents to do things for them. Having a child is a big deal and can cost money and take away a lot of your time. Raising a child cots $249,180 a year (MSN Money). Less than one third of teens who have babies before the age of 18-finish high school (Strasburg). Teens don't have that kind of money, and they would want to finish school to get a good education. This takes away a lot of their life and they have to put their hands into taking care of their child. My thought on this is that they should not get an abortion because they knew what they were doing and they shouldn't blame it on anyone else but themselves. They should know what that led to and they knew what they were doing and if they knew then teens shouldn't of done it at all.

               Reason for women to get an abortion  are because birth control fails or to end the unwanted pregnancy ("Abortions-Reasons Why…"). Also women choose to have one, is to prevent a child to be born because of birth defects. Another big reason that women get an abortion is because they have been raped. The only time that abortions should be approved is because of rape or the baby having birth problems. There should be no reason for them to get an abortion if it is not really needed. Abortions should just be banned unless they are really needed and it's there fault for doing what they did. If they didn't want to have a baby they should have been more responsible. 1.5 million American women choose to have an induced abortion each year. Less than 1% of women have complications after their abortion (Strasburger). This should stop happening and this is not right to take a child's life away.

               Many may think that there is only one way to get an abortion, but there are two ways to have one. A surgical abortion which is when a medical practitioner does the process and they use a vacuum device to get the embryo out. Women also have to wait a certain amount of time; they are not allowed to do the procedure if they are to along in their pregnancy. Another type of abortion is medical abortion, which is when administering prescription medications (ejection or pills. This pill is not like the "morning after pill". This can take up to 3 days or 3-4 weeks, the pill is called methotrexate. When taking this pill 80% to 85% of women will abort within 2 weeks. Abortions cost a lot of money and why would teens want to waste it and where could they get it. Thinking before doing things will save teens a lot of trouble in the end ("Health Education").

Studies have shown that women have trouble with their life after an abortion ("Physical and Emotional…"). Women suffer after the abortion and they experience feelings that they thought they wouldn't feel. They feel bad and this would not happen if they would just stop abortions and stop all of this. Women and Men should know what their choice leads to and how they will feel after. If they happen to be in a situation like getting pregnant then there are other options; couples have the choice to give up for adoption. There are one to two million couples that want to adopt children. There are waiting lists for couples that want babies with Down syndrome (Adoption Facts). There are 1.3 million abortions done in the U.S. each year this will decrease if women make other options (Brind). This proves that even though your child might have birth defects. Couples still want children, even though they have problems. Couples that cant have a child would love to have a child of their own and they would give it their all to have a child

Summary                Abortion is a big controversy today and it always will be. There are people against and there are people for it. Abortion was in government and they argue and make laws about it. My thought on abortion is that it is not right and they should ban it unless it is really needed. Teens and adults should be more responsible and they should know what they are doing. They also should know what the outcomes of their actions are. Therefore, abortion is not the right choice and there are other options then to get an abortion. Respons of Essay
